by Jeff from IBS Formula
Admittedly, I had already cured my IBS symptoms with a combo of superfoods and classic digestive aids before probiotics became a household word. Now I see them everywhere including, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, The Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, and all over the web in the form of supplement ads. Do these modern advanced probiotics offer relief from irritable bowel syndrome symptoms including diarrhea, constipation, bloating and gas?
My answer is “well….. maybe….”
My personal experience with acidophilus many years ago provided a giant NO in the IBS relief column. Now granted, I’m sure these compounds have come a long way in the past 15 years since my experimentation with them in the early 2000’s. Do I think probiotics can offer improvement to the flora in the average person’s inflamed and abused gut? Absolutely!
But let’s get back to the issue at hand, and that is, eliminating the horrible symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. I’m a musician and just a few months ago, I had a meeting with a new co-writer I was partnering with for some upcoming TV projects. I was telling him about how I am now sharing with the public this product (IBS Formula) that I came up with that changed my life. He was curious so I explained how I cured my chronic diarrhea and other IBS symptoms. He said “Dude, I totally have IBS. It’s horrible! My wife can’t stand it because every time we go out to dinner, she has to sit there and wait at the restaurant for me to finish in the bathroom after our meal."
What he described is how I lived for most of my life. The public embarrassment! Dating caused such anxiety. I asked him what he was doing as a treatment for his IBS symptoms. He said I’ve been taking these expensive probiotics. I asked if they were providing relief. He hesitantly said “Well…. maybe….”
The whole reason I decided to share my research and successful treatment of my IBS with the world, is because I don’t like to see people suffer. So I naturally gave him a bottle of my IBS Formula and now he too is receiving relief from his IBS symptoms.
